Weigh-in Week 5

Down another 1.6 pounds!  Not a big number but it's moving in the right direction.  It averages out to about 2 lbs a week, which sounds good but is a little less impressive because I lost 6lbs in Week 1.

Considering that I've had a big issue with self-control since Easter, the fact that it is still going down is amazing.

I feel really good about my meals, they keep me as stifled and I don't feel like I'm going overboard on the portions because I keeping them to around the size I serve my 2YO.  We've been playing more and getting creative inside since we're kind of stuck due to weather.  I'm conscious of my water intake and it is pretty good but could be increased.

If I could be a bit smarter about giving in to junk foods, I think that number will go down a bit faster. If I can't resist an urge for junk (I'll work on resisting next), I will limit my portion to a small cup so I know what I'm eating and don't overdo it.

Ultimately, I'm so happy that I've been losing weight making very little and manageable changes!


  1. A loss is a loss and that's WINNING (As Charlie Sheen would say). I have struggled this week, but I am working really hard to get back on track. I feel like I've floundered around this month, but I wil et back to it and get myself back on track.

    1. Thank you! I've totally floundered. I feel like I'm only really proud of week 1 and 2. Hopefully I can get that great motivation and drive back again and start to really build some good habits. Thanks for the encouragement!
